OCU Course: The Power of Sleep, Stress, and Empathy

Unveiling the Power of Sleep, Stress, and Empathy in Workers’ Compensation Outcomes

Speaker: Brian Murphy, PT, DPT, COMT

Sleep, stress and empathy play a critical role in recovery and outcomes across the workers’ compensation journey. Sleep disruption in particular is often overlooked, yet it can significantly affect an injured worker’s well‑being, engagement and ability to heal. In this training, learners explore the connection between stress, sleep and recovery and examine evidence‑based strategies and early interventions that support better outcomes. Participants also gain insight into how creating a more supportive, empathetic environment can drive holistic rehabilitation, strengthen engagement and improve results for injured workers in today’s workforce.
