Transportation Services

Transportation Coordination

  • Sedan: RelayRIDE℠ (rideshare) and a directly contracted network of agency and independent providers.
  • Wheelchair: Wheelchair accessible van; injured workers can remain in wheelchair during transit.
  • Stretcher: Van or large vehicle equipped with tie downs for a gurney, offered in accordance with state regulations.
  • Basic Life Support: Non-emergency transportation via ambulance; includes an EMT and second attendant with nursing care.
  • Advanced Life Support: Non-emergency transportation via ambulance; includes two EMTs and a paramedic with advanced injured worker care.
  • Air Ambulance: Fixed-wing aircraft with bed-to-bed service; available for domestic and international travel.
  • Overnight Travel: Commercial flights, ground transportation and hotel accommodations.

Transportation Billing

  • Air Ambulance Invoice Negotiation: One Call actively manages air ambulance costs, delivering an average savings of 11%* while handling provider payment and payer billing.

Referral Received

Once a referral is submitted, One Call sends confirmation to the adjuster or case manager and contacts the injured worker.

Scheduling

One Call places an introductory call to the injured worker and confirms their transportation the day before the appointment.

For RelayRIDESM

A driver is assigned and trips are monitored in real time; patients receive updates of driver’s status. The adjuster or case manager is notified if a ride is missed.

Completion & Billing

One Call receives invoice from transportation provider invoices, then processes payment to the provider and submits billing to the payer.
