(Non-Credit) With the arrival of COVID-19, telehealth and telerehab providers reported an upswing in demand as key barriers to widespread telehealth usage vanished. Join our next webinar to hear a candid conversation from our panel of industry leaders discussing telehealth restrictions, lessons learned, innovation inertia, and how to shape the future healthcare delivery model in workers' compensation.
This webinar will address a variety of wound healing techniques and best practices, including how National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP) defines pressure injury staging, manifestations of pressure injuries (PI), categorization of chronic wounds and how non-healing wounds adversely affect medical indemnity.
Once a novel idea with low adoption, telerehab has become a staple of physical and occupational therapy treatment for injured workers. COVID-19 prompted the U.S. to implement social distancing and shelter-at-home orders. This webinar will discuss telerehab, its ability to deliver safe, convenient and high-quality patient outcomes; and share how telerehab is helping to resolve chronic pain for injured workers.
Opioid overuse, misuse, addiction and overdose have created a national health crisis. The cost of this epidemic is staggering, not including the invaluable costs- loss of life. Injured workers may suffer injuries that require medical treatment resulting in chronic pain. Opioids can be successful if dosed responsibly and are part of an appropriate medical treatment plan, but there are alternative treatments available that can mitigate the risks associated with misuse and addiction to these drugs. The Centers for Disease Control issued voluntary guidelines that urge prescribers to consider alternatives to opioids, such as physical therapy, when treating musculoskeletal disorders. This webinar will delve into the opioid crisis and share how physical therapy and other alternative treatments can provide safe and effective recovery from chronic pain.
On top of our free national webinars, we also offer our customers the ability to schedule local presentations for their workers’ compensation adjusters and nurse case managers.
