Spring Forward with 3 New Webinars

With a new season approaching, One Call is pleased to announce a trio of engaging webinars. If you are looking to continue your education, our spring webinar series is the perfect opportunity to earn free credits while hearing from industry experts within workers’ compensation.

Our upcoming webinar schedule includes:

Spring Forward with 3 New WebinarsFinger Amputations: Functional Impact and Solutions

April 27 | 1 p.m. EDT – CLICK TO REGISTER
Presented by: Jennifer McCarthy, CP

Each year, Limb Loss Awareness Month in April serves as a reminder that millions of Americans suffer from upper and lower limb amputations. Losing a single finger due to injury can dramatically alter an individual’s life and career.

In this session, we will examine the impact of digit amputations on overall impairment and explore innovative solutions. We will review both smart technologies and prosthetics, as well as the costs to maintain these options. This course will also address factors influencing acceptance of an upper limb prosthesis, which can reduce abandonment and rejection of a device.

Spring Forward with 3 New WebinarsEthical Investigations

May 11 | 1 p.m. EDT – CLICK TO REGISTER
Presented by: Scott Woodall, Woodall & Broome

Workers’ compensation and liability cases sometimes require specialized investigative techniques and surveillance to provide a visual record of injured worker activities. Like many other professions, proper ethical practices are essential when conducting these complex investigations. Join private investigator Scott Woodall as he discusses applied ethics and the fundamental elements of professionalism within the insurance and private investigation industries.

During this session, we uncover the ethical and unethical scenarios seen in surveillance by private investigations. Adjusters will gain an understanding of the investigation process and what actions are ethical and unethical for private investigators. We will also review the laws impacting ethical investigations and the CCM, CDMS, and CRC Codes of Conduct.

Spring Forward with 3 New WebinarsEthics Unleashed in Workers’ Compensation

June 29 | 1 p.m. EDT – CLICK TO REGISTER
Presented by: Cannon Alsobrook, Savell & Williams

When ethical dilemmas occur, they require careful consideration that sometimes challenges our core beliefs. This presentation surveys the ethical issues facing all stakeholders in the workers’ compensation arena, including providers, lawyers, claims adjusters, case managers, risk managers, employers, and judges.

Join us as we demonstrate how to spot ethical dilemmas and make the right choice, even when it’s a difficult one. Designed for claims adjusters and case managers, this course provides an overview of ethics, examines the psychology behind various ethical approaches, and walks through hypothetical scenarios involving doctors, lawyers, injured workers, employers, and HR representatives.
