WCI ‘19 – Invaluable Partnerships, Undeniable Outcomes
This year’s WCI conference did not disappoint as nearly 6,500 industry professionals came together for a week of building connections and gaining knowledge.
But before the conference even began, WCI hosted the 6th Annual WCI Service Day benefiting Give Kids the World Village, an 84-acre nonprofit resort near Orlando that provides week-long, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses. One Call joined other industry professionals who volunteered to take on tasks such as painting fences and planting trees. Because of our strength in numbers, we completed two years of projects in a mere four hours.
Once the conference began, we continued our mission of keeping injured workers at the heart of everything we do. We donated $2,500 to the Kids Chance of Florida One Call Scholarship on behalf of everyone who stopped by our booth. This money will be used to help children of injured workers attend college.
Our experts were a hit as well. National Product Leader for Physical Therapy Michelle Despres held a Physical Therapy Breakout session that focused on optimal patient outcomes, alternative strategies and successful employer programs. Sr. Director of Project Management Sean Sullivan presented a telehealth session focused on how to manage pain through the power of technology. For more information on this session, check out Safety National’s coverage.
The conference was a great success. We strengthened relationships with our partners and walked away with new ideas on how to strengthen our impact for injured workers.
We look forward to seeing you at WCI ’20.
