One Call Care Management (One Call) protects the privacy and safeguards the security of an individual’s protected health information. Protected health information (PHI) is information that:
- The past, present, or future physical or mental health or condition of an individual - The health care services provided to an individual - Past, present or future payments for the health care services provided to an individual
Any information disclosed to One Call that is considered PHI is treated as confidential. Access to PHI is limited to only those who have a business need for access. PHI is used or disclosed only as required or permitted under the HIPAA Privacy Regulations. In those circumstances, PHI is released only to the minimum extent necessary to carry out the intended purpose.
